Displays
A display is one device running the Signital player, plus everything the portal knows about it: its name, location, orientation, the channel it follows and its own plan. Displays lists them; the display page is where you connect, control and schedule one.
The Displays page

Each card or row carries a status pill, Online or Offline, and an Unpublished pill when the display has changes that are not published yet. A display nothing has connected to yet shows as Not connected on the Dashboard; see What the statuses mean.
An empty workspace reads Nothing here yet with the Add button. A filter that matches nothing reads No matches with Clear filters.
Add a display
Press Add display. The Add Display dialog asks for:

| Notes | Anything worth remembering, shown on the display page. |
Press Save. The display page opens with a Pairing code, because nothing is connected yet. Connecting is covered in Connect a display.

Header
The pill reads Online or Offline. The buttons:

Preview
The Preview card renders the plan the display follows, at the display's aspect ratio. It is a rendering of the plan, not a picture of the device, and there is no "now playing" indicator anywhere in the portal. Two buttons sit on the card:
- Split screen picks a layout with more than one section. See Split screen & layouts.
- Live preview opens the published plan in a player window.
Device details
The card ranks its facts by how often you need them.

Notes and tags from the Edit dialog appear at the bottom.
Scheduled plan
Every display has a plan of its own. The Scheduled plan card lists what it plays: a preview, the name, the type, the schedule (blank when the item always shows) and the duration of each item, with Edit and Remove buttons. Press + Add to plan to add an item and drag rows to reorder them. See Add to plan and Scheduling.
When the display follows a shared channel, the card is titled Scheduled plan for channel with the channel's name and shows the channel's items instead. Edit them on the channel page; every display following that channel changes with it.
Follow or leave a channel
The plan card's header has the channel buttons:
- Connect to channel appears while the display plays its own plan. It opens Select channel, which lists channels of the same orientation. Pick one and the display follows it.
- Change channel replaces the channel it follows. Remove channel sends the display back to its own plan.
Press Publish changes afterwards. The display's own plan is kept while it follows a channel, so removing the channel brings it back. See Channels.
Edit a display
Edit opens Edit Display with Name, Location, Orientation, Rotation (0°, 90°, 180° or 270°, for a device mounted on its side) and Notes. There is no channel field here; the channel is changed from the plan card as above.
Delete in this dialog archives the display. It disappears from All and shows under Archived, where Restore brings it back with its plan and history. A device still bound to an archived display returns to the pairing code.
