Users & roles
Everyone who signs in to your workspace is listed at Settings › Users, with their role. Add colleagues here so they can publish without you, and remove them when they leave.

Add a user
Open the dialog
Press Add user. The Add User dialog opens.

Fill in the details
- Name and Email. The email is what they sign in with, and it must not already have a Signital login.
- Role. The list only offers roles up to your own; see below.
- Password and Confirm Password. You set the first password. The user can change it later under Profile & Security, or you can send them a reset email.
Save
Press Save. Tell the person their email and the password you set; Signital does not email new users automatically.
Roles
Four roles, from most to least senior: Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer. The role you hold is shown under your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
You can only give someone a role at or below your own. An Admin can add Admins, Editors and Viewers, but not an Owner. That is also why the Role list can be shorter than four entries.
What each role can do
| Owner | Admin | Editor | Viewer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manage billing | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Manage users | Up to Owner | Up to Admin | Up to Editor | Up to Viewer |
| Change workspace settings | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Edit content and plans | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Publish | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| View | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Today the portal does not restrict any of these actions by role. The one thing a role enforces is the Manage users row: which roles you may hand out. Treat the other rows as the intent behind each role rather than a lock, and give a Viewer login only to people you trust with the workspace. Signital may tighten this in a future release, and this page will change with it.
Edit a user
Press Edit on the row. The Edit User dialog has the same Name, Email and Role fields, plus:
- Reset password. Press Send reset password email and the user receives a link to choose a new password. The dialog closes when the email is sent.
- Delete, at the bottom left. It asks Deleting user for confirmation.
You cannot delete yourself, and you cannot delete a user who also belongs to another workspace; ask support to remove them from yours. Deleting is permanent: the login is removed and the row disappears from the list.
One person, several workspaces
A person can belong to more than one workspace, with a different role in each. When they do, the chip at the top of the sidebar becomes a Switch workspace menu listing every workspace they can open. A workspace whose subscription has lapsed shows a warning icon in that list. To add someone who already has a Signital login to your workspace, contact support; the Add user dialog only creates new logins.
