Canvas editor
The Canvas editor is a design tool inside the portal. You lay out text, shapes, images, QR codes and live numbers from an API on a page, save, and the result plays on displays like any image. Use it for menu boards, price lists, welcome signs and anything that needs your own layout.

Create a canvas
Add the widget
Go to Widgets, press Add widget and choose Canvas. Give it a Name, pick Landscape or Portrait, and save. The editor opens full-screen; Back to widgets in the top bar returns to the list.
Design
Add elements from the panel on the left, arrange them on the canvas, and set each element's properties in the rail on the right.
Save
Press Save in the left panel. A toast reads Successfully saved!. The canvas is rendered to an image, and displays that already play it pick up the new version.
Put it on a plan
On a display or channel page, + Add to plan, then Canvas, then pick it. Set a duration and a fit option as for an image. See Add to plan.
A landscape canvas is 1280 × 720 and a portrait canvas 405 × 720. The saved image is exported at three times that size, so it stays sharp on a 4K display.
Add element
| Tool | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Text | A text box. Double-click it to type. |
| Shape | Opens Select shape: rectangle, circle or triangle. A shape can also hold an image clipped to its outline. |
| Media | An image from your library. The picker shows images uploaded from the editor; tick Show all media to browse the whole library and its folders. |
| QR Code | A code generated from a Website URL or string. |
| API | A live value fetched from a web address; see below. |
| Clock | Coming soon. |
Below the tools, the layer list names every element on the canvas. Each row can Hide or Show, Lock or Unlock, and Delete its element.
Arrange
The toolbar above the layers has Undo, Redo, Bring forward, Send backward, Bring to front, Send to back and Delete. Drag an element to move it and drag its handles to resize it; a text box rewraps its text when you widen it from a side handle.
The bar at the bottom has Zoom in, Zoom out and Fit to screen, which fits the canvas on screen. Zoom changes your view only, never the canvas size.
Properties
The rail on the right shows what the selected element allows: Text (font, size, Font style bold or italic, colour, Align text), Rectangle, Circle and Triangle (colours, Width, Height, Flip), Image (Scale X, Scale Y, Flip), QR Code (Code color, Background color, Transparent background) and API Value. Every element has a Position with X and Y.
With nothing selected the rail shows the canvas itself: Landscape or Portrait, Width and Height, Background Color and a Background image (Select background image). Reset canvas and Clear canvas start again.
Live values from an API
An API element is a text box whose text is fetched from a web address and refreshed while the canvas plays: a fuel price, a queue number, the temperature in the warehouse.
- Press API. The Add new API source panel asks for the API Endpoint, the address that returns the data.
- The response is fetched and shown as a tree. Click the value you want. When the value sits inside a list, the editor records which item by its properties rather than by its position, so a reordered list still points at the right value.
- Set the Refresh interval: one of the presets, or Custom in seconds.
- Press Add to canvas. Style it like any text.
Sources you have already added are listed under Already added sources, so several values can come from one address with a single fetch. Select an API element and the rail shows its endpoint and lets you change the interval; Edit reopens the picker to choose another value.
The address must be reachable from the internet without signing in and must return JSON. The live text is drawn on top of the saved image by the player, so it updates without re-saving the canvas.
Fonts
Text elements use the fonts available to your workspace. Fonts uploaded under Custom fonts (Business plan) appear here as well as in widgets.
Next

- Split screen & layouts, a canvas in one section and a feed in another.
